Smarter Combined Material Sourcing & File Downloads

Bug Fixes

  • Material markups now apply correctly when saving

Company default markup rates are now properly applied whenever a material is saved, not only when it is first created — preventing missing markup on updated parts.

  • Material breadcrumb stays in sync

The material specification breadcrumb no longer drifts out of sync when switching between parts, ensuring you always see accurate material details.

  • Drawings carry forward automatically on new revisions

When creating a new file revision, the current drawing is now automatically brought forward so you no longer need to re-attach it manually.

  • QuickBooks tax codes map more reliably

Tax code mapping during QuickBooks sync is now more accurate and consistent, reducing errors on exported transactions.

  • Combined material lines now split correctly across all parts

When applying a combined sourcing line, quantities are now properly distributed across every part in the job, preventing mismatched allocations.

  • RFQ status badges visible on all parts of a combined line

Quote pages now correctly show RFQ status indicators for every part tied to a combined material line, not just the first one.

  • Sourcing pills appear on every part of a combined line

Combined RFQ sourcing pills now fan out and display on all associated parts, giving a complete picture of sourcing activity across the job.

  • Combined RFQs properly linked to jobs

Jobs are now correctly associated with combined RFQs, ensuring sourcing history and traceability are fully intact.

  • Combined RFQ creation is more reliable

Errors during combined RFQ setup are now caught and reported immediately, and material grouping logic is more accurate to prevent incorrect combinations.

  • Downloaded files now keep their original filenames

Files downloaded from job records and part attachments now retain the name they were uploaded with, instead of receiving a generic system-generated name.

Improvements

  • Forge AI upgraded for greater speed and consistency

The AI engine powering Forge Assistant, dimension extraction, import mapping, and file clustering has been upgraded to a more capable model, delivering faster responses and more reliable results across the board.
