Cleaner Purchase Order Archiving & Accurate Dashboard Counts

New Features

  • Redesigned Job Routing Editor with full Quotation parity

The routing editor in Jobs now matches the layout and capabilities of the Quotation module, giving you a consistent experience across your workflow. Internal operation cards now include a Process field, and outside operation cards display cost, shipping, currency, and a read-only markup indicator.

  • Outside operation costs now tracked directly in the routing editor

You can now enter and save outside operation costs — including currency selection and shipping — directly from the Job routing editor. The implied markup is calculated against the quoted sell price so you always know your margin at a glance.

Bug Fixes

  • Production board drag-and-drop no longer disrupts routing order

Dragging work orders on the Production Board now uses its own queue position, keeping the routing step order intact and preventing unintended resequencing of operations.

  • Implied markup now correctly compares against the quoted sell price

Previously, the markup calculation in outside operation cards could reference the wrong price. It now consistently uses the quoted sell price for an accurate margin display.

  • Routing editor modal stays within the page frame

The routing editor dialog no longer breaks out of its container, keeping the interface clean and properly contained.

  • Assignment row now visible on operations that predate the Process field

Older operations that did not have a Process assigned were incorrectly hiding the assignment row. This is now shown correctly regardless of Process status.

  • Outside operation card colour corrected to emerald; exchange rate captured on currency change

The outside operation card now displays the correct emerald colour theme, and switching currencies properly saves the corresponding exchange rate.

  • Outside operations now correctly factored into quote lead times

When building a quote, outside operations (such as third-party processing or subcontracting) that occur after machining are now properly chained together when calculating the earliest possible delivery date. Previously, these steps could be overlooked, resulting in lead times that were shorter than realistic.

  • Material summary labels corrected in standard stock mode

Waste is now broken out as a separate line item in the material summary, and the 'Material Needed' label has been updated to better reflect what is shown, making it easier to understand material costs at a glance when quoting parts.

  • Archived purchase orders now correctly disappear from the active orders list

Previously, archiving a purchase order did not remove it from the main list view. Archived orders now leave the list immediately and can be restored directly from the order detail page.

  • Dashboard active order figures no longer include archived orders

The purchasing dashboard was counting archived purchase orders toward active order totals. These figures now accurately reflect only open, active orders.

Improvements

  • Production Board uses a dedicated queue column for card ordering

The board now maintains its own independent queue order, separate from the routing step index. This means reordering cards on the board no longer interferes with your defined production routing sequence.
